Quality assurance & inspection

The rationale is to ensure compliance with safety and other international requirements and Implement training programmes for fish Business Operators and other relevant stakeholders on fish safety and quality assurance.

The Department of Fish Quality Assurance and Inspection shall have the following two (2) divisions:

  1. Fish Safety and Quality Assurance

  2. Fish Inspection.

  • Approval Inspections

  • Routine Inspections

  • Spot Check Inspections

  • Verification Inspections

  • National Inspections

  • Issuance of health certificates for exports

  • Issuance of export and import permits

  • Issuance of certificate for compliance

  • Marine Fishing Vessels

  • Fish Hatcheries

  • Ice Plant and Cold Storage Facilities

  • Fishery Products

  • Fish Landing Stations
